Jeopardy

You all know the classic game of Jeopardy, right?! Your goal is to come up with questions that relate to what you’re learning in this class and will stump your peers. Join a team and try to win the most ‘money’!

Rules:

  1. Split the class in half. Each half comes up with a minimum of three categories and five questions per category. Category examples could include elements & principles of design, visual storytelling styles, artists, lesson media, etc.
  2. As a group, use one of the online tools (eg. JeopardyLabs or PlayFactile) for easy game building, or construct your own board.
  3. Once the Jeopardy boards are built, the designers of one board will play host, while the other half of the class are the contestants. The contestants will have to ‘buzz’ in and correctly answer the question. If they get it wrong, another contestant can ‘buzz’ in and attempt to answer the question.
  4. The hosts will take turns reading the questions.
  5. If no one is able to answer the question, then it remains on the board. Contestants will be able to use a mobile device or computer to look up the answer and then buzz in the correct answer once they find it. They will receive half the dollar amount that the question was originally worth.
  6. When the board has been completed, the hosts and the contestants will switch positions and play the second board.
  7. Make sure you have someone keeping score! The contestants with the most money on each side wins!

Good luck, and may the force be with you!
