You have your idea. Now you need the support. What do you need to make sure your idea to find a better balance between people and nature is successful and set it up for maximum impact?
Part One
Present your idea to a peer and collaborate to come up with a plan to give both of you a better chance at achieving your goals. You both want to create an impactful idea that others will get behind.
What to Include:
- Goal: What is the purpose of your idea? What impact do you want it to have? What action do you want the audience to take afterward?
- Identify: Determine what marketing avenues will work best for your message and for your target audience.
- Analyze: Determine what skills and resources you both have to help promote each of your ideas. Note any weak areas you both have, and a plan for how you can overcome those weaknesses.
- Create a Timeline: Determine the steps you will take to promote your story and assign a timeline for each step.
- Pitch: Create a short, clear and descriptive pitch that you can use to find support for your idea. Make sure it’s short, energetic, interesting and explains your idea to someone who doesn’t know anything about your story.
?? When your plan is complete, pitch both your ideas as a team to others (classmates, community members, potential funders/supporters of your ideas, etc.).
Part Two
Write a press release with your partner to generate excitement and to get publicity about your ideas. State why you have an idea that will advance a better balance between people and nature.
