How do we make the right career choice? It almost always begins with exploring and learning – education, in other words. And for some, the education process itself becomes the career. Such is the case of Paula Huddy-Zubkowski. The Calgary-based educator is amongst the best in Canada at her job. She received the Royal Canadian Geographic Society’s Innovation in Geography Teaching Award, was selected as one of only a handful of educators to be part of the Canada 150 C3 expedition and was named by National Geographic as a teacher of the week. For Paula, it’s not about telling students what to think, but about bringing the world to life in class and allowing students to explore it on their terms.

We sat down with Paula to understand why education just might be the best career path to create a better world.
