Student

One of the world’s leading educators never went to teachers college. He was a high school student when he saw a gap and worked to fill it. Brandon Nguyen founded the Toronto Coalition of Ecoschools. He realized that while many schools have environmental clubs, there was very little communication between them, with few opportunities to combine efforts and scale impact. Not only did Brandon succeed in improving communication and collaboration, his efforts led him to becoming a student adviser to Toronto municipal government through the Toronto Youth Cabinet.

We caught up with Brandon via Skype, and between his classes, to better understand his passion, his drive to make a difference and his strategy to change the world.
