May the Fourth Be With You Lesson Plans

Because why not?

  • To be used on May 4th.
Our attempt at using AI to create a Star Wars inspired wildlife character. We named her Drezzar.

Art/Visual Storytelling:
Design your own alien species! Consider what environment it lives in — is it a desert planet like Tatooine or a jungle world like Felucia? Think about how its features help it survive there (camouflage, wings, fur, etc.).

Science:
Compare a real Earth ecosystem to one in the Star Wars universe. What adaptations do the animals have in each? How do food chains or environmental threats differ between them?

Social Studies:
Examine how governments on Earth create and enforce policies to protect wildlife (like endangered species laws, conservation funding, or protected areas). Then, compare this to how wildlife is treated under the political systems in the Star Wars universe — for example, how the Empire versus the New Republic might handle environmental protection. What does this say about the values and priorities of different types of governments?

Careers:
Research careers that involve working with wildlife — like conservation biologist, zoologist, wildlife photographer, or animal rehabilitation specialist. Create a “Galactic Career Poster” describing what this role might look like in the Star Wars universe and on Earth.

English:
Write a short story or journal entry from the perspective of a wild creature (real or imagined). What’s it like to live on a planet being explored or impacted by humans (or droids)? What message would it want us to hear?
