Few people know leadership or finance better than Monish Kamat. A modern-day renaissance man with a passion for nature and a drive to make businesses more successful, Monish has made a life of helping financial institutions reach their full potential. As a senior executive with some of world’s largest and most influential corporations, Mohnish has overseen and grown investment banking, commercial banking, consulting and asset management divisions more than almost anyone in his field. He’s also a past director of the Jane Goodall Institute board of directors and is a passionate believer in the power of business to protect nature.
We met Monish at his downtown Toronto boardroom to discuss the value and role of the markets, why good research and communication are central to leadership and how to live a life of meaning.
