Host of Conversations that Matter, Owner of Oh Boy Productions

Mainstream media was once the most common format for storytellers to get their projects to market. Not anymore. Stu McNish left a career as a reporter with Global News to join the brave new world of digital journalism. Stu founded Oh Boy Productions, which has helped democratize storytelling – helping individual clients get their story out on their terms. But he hasn’t stopped there. With the media landscape changing and social media driving self-curated echo chambers, Stu realized meaningful conversations were disappearing. Conversations That Matter is his answer to the problem – a web-based series with a global audience that uses long-form journalism to dive into the complex issues mainstream media no longer has the resources or audience to explore.

After Stu interviewed Simon for his show, we turned the cameras on him to better understand his views on the future of storytelling and the art of the conversation.
